Local Dominator, a local SEO and AI search visibility platform, has introduced Map View, a geographic overview that plots every scan, campaign, and location in a user's account on a single interactive map. Agencies and multi-location businesses can use it to see which tracked business needs attention before they open a single report.
Map View is aimed at accounts that have outgrown a scan list. An agency with hundreds of scheduled scans would otherwise open projects one at a time to find the ones in trouble. A Sept. 9, 2026, Local Dominator analysis of 50 GeoGrid scans, pulled from a live account tracking 274 businesses, found 82% of the 50 businesses sampled ranking outside the top 3. Overall, 46% of the sample ranked in positions 11 to 19, and 6% did not rank in the top 20 at all.
Each business appears as one marker showing its Average Rank (its mean position across the scan's grid points), color-coded by status: green for strong visibility, yellow to orange for average performance worth a look, and red for poor visibility. Gray markers labeled 20+ flag a business that is not ranking in the top 20. A group of red markers in one region can point to a service area gap, a new competitor, or a market that has been under-invested in, which a single weak score on its own would not reveal.
Every scan loads onto the map automatically, with no setup or manual pinning. Locations that sit close together group into one marker until the user zooms in far enough to see each one on its own.
Map View and GeoGrid Rank Tracker draw on the same underlying data at two different zoom levels. A GeoGrid scan shows street-level rank detail across hundreds of grid points inside one business's service area and answers where in that area the business is weak. The account-wide Map View shows one marker per business across the entire account and answers which business is weak.
